Paying tribute to a loved one
Remembering a loved one
A wonderful way to remember the life of a loved one is to make a donation in their name to an area of education or research important to them. It can be a practical way to advance the research of a disease or condition and to express hope for a better future.
Many families choose to include a request for donations in lieu of flowers in the funeral announcement, or within the funeral service program.
Celebrating a milestone
Donating in celebration is a great way to honour someone and mark their special occasion such as a wedding, birthday, anniversary, retirement or graduation.
Or you could ask family and friends to donate in lieu of gifts for your own event – like the Murchland family who support Indigenous medical students instead of buying Christmas gifts for each other.
How will my donation be acknowledged?
When you donate online or via hard copy donation form, please fill in the Donor Acknowledgement section so that we can acknowledge both you and the person being honoured in our annual Donor Honour Roll.
