Welcome to the "9th International Conference on Greek Research" and the ‘Ageing in the Migrant Diaspora’ conference being held concurrently at Flinders University and hosted by the Modern Greek section, Department of Language Studies at Flinders University and the Southgate Institute for Health, Society and Equity , also at Flinders University.
The 9th International Conference on Greek Research is a 4-day event where research papers will be presented on studies related to Greek and Cypriot themes. A vibrant program will be dedicated to papers and posters relating to Greek and Cypriot studies that will continue the tradition of the international conferences on Greek Research and will include the following areas of research:
An Ageing in the Migrant Diaspora conference will also be an important part of the 9th International Conference on Greek Research and will address the needs of the migrant Diaspora with regard to ageing and health, service provision and cultural identity issues of Greek and other Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities in Australia and overseas. Attendance is welcomed from academics, researchers, practitioners, policy makers and aged care providers. We are particularly (but not exclusively) seeking papers and posters on:

Social Events: Thursday, 30 June 2011: A conference dinner will be held at the Adelaide Pavilion from 6.30pm onwards. All welcome. Bookings are essential, 8201 3854.
Monday, 4 July 2011: "Meet the locals " A day tour exploring South Australia’s lovely countryside and famous wineries is being organized for conference delegates.
Venue: Flinders University, Sturt Road, Bedford Park, Education Building, Car Park 2, Ring Road.
Virtual Participation: This option is available for participants who are unable to attend the conference in-person but wish to send their paper and have it available at the conference. The same criterion applies as for attending participants. An abstract must be submitted by 28 February, 2011.
