- attend examinations
- obtain an academic transcript
- benefit from student transport concessions discounts at businesses (including those on campus)
- access Flinders University buildings
- attend student-organised functions.
Obtaining a student ID card
Once you have enrolled at Flinders University you can request a student ID card online or at the Central Library. If you have recently enrolled (in the last hour) there may be a delay before you can request an ID card.
To request your student ID card online, upload your photo here and select a pick-up location, or to have your ID card posted.
You can choose to collect your student ID card from:
- Central Library ID Cards counter, during opening hours
- Victoria Square: Ground Floor Reception, 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
If you are an external/online/interstate student, or not able to get to either location 9am – 5pm weekdays, you can elect to have your student ID card posted. It will be sent to the preferred mailing address you have recorded in the Student Information System.
Replacement ID cards are also issued from the ID Cards counter in the Central Library, 9.00am – 4.45pm Monday to Friday (please allow 15 minutes for processing).
If you have lost your ID card and need a replacement, pay the A$10 fee using iPay before bringing your receipt to the ID Cards counter in the Central Library.
Enrolment stickers for student ID cards
Continuing students who need an expiry sticker to update their student ID card can obtain them from Enrolment Services in the Student Centre. Stickers are also available from the Enrolment Support Centre, based in the Central Library, when open during enrolment.
Flinders University staff must have a current record on the University's Human Resource system in order to obtain a staff ID card.
New staff can collect their staff ID card from the ID Cards counter in the Central Library, 9.00am – 4.45pm Monday to Friday (please allow 15 minutes for processing). They will need to present current proof of identification and a letter of introduction from their school or division before a card can be issued.
