International student activities

The International Student Services Unit (ISSU) runs a number of activities for international students. All activities for international students are advertised by email. 

Activities for all international students

During semester, the ISSU organises a range of day and overnight trips to popular South Australian destinations including the Barossa Valley, Kangaroo Island and the Flinders Ranges. ISSU also runs trips to Australian Rules Football matches and one of the local car manufacturing plants.

Each month ISSU holds a morning tea for all students. This is a great opportunity to meet other students, both new and commencing as well as ISSU and other staff from around the University.

The University is a stakeholder in Education Adelaide, which is based in the city and organises a range of events for international students. You can register on their website to receive more information at the Education Adelaide website. 

Activities for completing students

ISSU runs a 'Going Home' program for all students completing their degree. It is held in both semesters, and all eligible students are sent an e-mail inviting them to register for attendance. It covers departure preparation, including housing and study related matters, and preparation for re-entry into students’ home culture.

The Careers and Employer Liaison Centre also conducts activities for students finishing their degree and seeking professional employment. Refer to Graduate Careers for further information.

At the end of second semester, before the December graduation ceremony, ISSU organises a day trip for graduating students and their families.
