ISS offers a range of programs supporting your enrolment, study and social life, as well as a referral service to facilities on campus and within the local community.
The ISS Arrival team will meet you at Adelaide Airport or the central train station and take you to your Adelaide accommodation. They will also stop off at a supermarket so that you can get some groceries on the way to your new home.
Your ISS Arrival team driver will provide you with a welcome pack and information about living Adelaide. They will also give you advice on transport in Adelaide and let you know the easiest way to get to Flinders from where you are living. Our Arrivals team are all Flinders students or graduates, so they can give you first-hand tips on how to get the most out of your time at Flinders and living in Adelaide.
The International Student Services team can also help with:
International Student Services (ISS) runs a number of activities for international students. For example, the ISS organizes a general orientation program for new international students, day and weekend tours throughout the semester, and coordinates a spouse conversation group. ISS staff write letters for students including student enrolment status, invitations and degree completion.
The International Student Services team is part of the International Centre. ISS is the first point of contact for international students who are experiencing challenges in adjusting to the Australian academic and living environment. Our key role is to support all onshore international students throughout their program of study.
Our International Student Advisor (ISA) team members meet students on a one-to-one basis to discuss matters such as academic progress, accommodation matters and student visa extensions.
