Adobe Products

Adobe products provide tools for web page and graphic design. They include Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Director, Freehand, Shockwave and Authorware.

Licence Type

There is no site licence for these products but the Information Services Division can provide copies of the software at educational pricing. Copies of the CDs are held on campus for the more popular products.

Licence Costs

The cost of each licence is met by the University Department making the request.

Windows based PCs and Macintosh platforms are supported.

Workplace Use

Available for installation on computers used by:

• staff employed by Flinders University
• staff with current formal academic status granted by Flinders University
• staff not directly employed by Flinders University, but whose major employment task is research for, or clerical support for, a member of Flinders academic staff.

Home Use

You may install Adobe software on your home computer (as well as your work computer) as long as you don't have them open at the same time, (for example if a family member was using it at the same time as you that would not be legal). Otherwise it can sit on your home computer unopened, while you use your work licence and vice versa. The product also needs to be the same platform, eg if you purchase a Windows licence at work you can only install Windows on your home computer.

Support

The licence does not include individual assistance for users of the product. Your local computing support staff can assist with installation of the product on your workplace computer. Support for home computers is not provided.
