First Things First

On occasion you may need to reset your password or unlock your account. You can do this yourself straight away, if you have set up this capability with Okta in advance.

This is how you setup your account for self-service reset or unlock:

Getting Help

You can access Okta help from the Okta Sign In screen, by clicking on “Need help signing in?” (circled in the above image). If you don’t see this screen, you can follow the links indicated below to get the same help.

Forgot password? (https://flinders.okta.com/signin/forgot-password)

Click on this to reset your password using SMS to mobile or an email link. You’ll need to know the answer to your secret “Forgot Password” question.

Unlock account? (https://flinders.okta.com/signin/unlock)

Click on this to unlock your account using SMS to mobile or an email link. You’ll need to know the answer to your secret “Forgot Password” question.

Okta locks your account when it notices a problem. For example, there are too many failed attempts to access it, or a suspicious sign in attempt from another country.

Forgot to activate your account? (https://activate.flinders.edu.au/main)

Click on this to set yourself up to use Okta. This is a one-time step, and it requires you to know your FAN and old (ie pre-Okta) password.
