SOMAF Entry procedure
Please ensure that you sign in/out when entering and exiting the Animal Facility and record all consumables used in the rooms (i.e. gowns, gloves etc). You can reduce your carbon footprint and SoMAF charges by re-using consumables where possible.
The Animal Facility provides animals for medical research.
The Facility provides technical assistance and housing for research animals in accordance with the South Australian Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1985 and with the Australian Code of Practice for the Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes, 2004. The Facility also houses several theatres equipped for a variety of procedures.
