(for 2nd/3rd year students interested in research)

These provide an allowance while you complete a 6-8 week research project within one of the Haematology and Genetic Pathology research groups. Your work can sometimes contribute to your University course, for example, as part of a research elective or provide preliminary experience towards an Honours Year.

Several organisations, such as the Cancer Council SA or the Flinders Medical Centre Foundation, offer Summer Scholarships. They are usually advertised around September/October each year.

If you are interested, find a research group that interests you, and contact one of the staff members to discuss a Summer Scholarship. We can help you to develop a project and to prepare your application.
