Population Health

Population health builds on the long traditions of public health, community health and health promotion. A population health approach recognises that multiple factors and conditions contribute to health.

Our program of population health nursing research involves researchers from a range of professional groups and organisations and is carried out with individuals, families and communities

Our aim is to contribute positively to the goals of a population health approach in:

  • community capacity-building and resilience
  • disaster response
  • health and safety in mass gatherings
  • emergency health care
  • high visibility/ high consequence events

More information about our current research is available from the Torrens Resilience Institute.
