The Flinders Business School (FBS) Advisory Board consists of an external, expert and experienced group of industry practitioners who advise FBS and serve as a reference point. The Board ensures that our programs and courses are relevant in today's changing business environment. Advisory Board members are leaders in industry and government, who are committed to ensuring that FBS continues to provide high quality business education and research.

Mrs Peggy Lau-Flux (Chair)
BA(Econ) W Ont, MBA UHK, BA(Journalism) SAust
Peggy worked as a Corporate Banker for Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong and has been serving on many Boards and Councils at both State and Federal level since 1995. Her specific areas of expertise are Finance and Marketing in the international corporate banking sector dealing with multinationals, manufacturers and traders in the Asia Pacific Region, and corporate governance in the health and education sectors. She travels extensively and is bilingual.
Her major achievements include the installation of the first electronic banking system in China, and the adoption of a trade initiative relating to risk asset weighting issues by the banking industry. These two initiatives gave her global recognition by her banks.
Peggy has been a Council member of Flinders University since 2005. She also serves on the Resources Committee, Investment Sub-committee and Flinders Partners.
Peggy completed six marathons and was a torch bearer of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. She is also a keen golfer.
Mr Garry Goddard

Garry gained his undergraduate and Masters degrees in Economics at Flinders, and has worked as an academic.
He is currently the Deputy Under Treasurer with the SA Department of Treasury and Finance.
Ms Gosia Hill
Former Senior Trade Commissioner to Central and South Eastern Europe, Gosia was based at the Australian Embassy in Warsaw between 2004 -2008.
Gosia’s posting paralleled EU enlargement as she represented Australia's trade, investment and commercial interests at the highest international levels in Central and South Eastern Europe. Under her leadership, Australia’s trade and investment in that region grew by 150%. Gosia’s diplomatic accreditation as a Minister Counsellor Commercial covered Poland and the Baltic States with management responsibility for 17 countries serviced by six other Austrade and Consular Posts (Prague, Budapest, Bucharest, Athens, Zagreb, Sofia and Skopje). She worked closely with fellow Senior Commissioners in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and travelled on business to London, Frankfurt, Moscow, Paris, New Delhi, Dubai and many other international locations.
Gosia was born and raised in communist Poland and completed her studies at Flinders University in Political Science, Philosophy and Social Administration. Her CV includes service for the Commonwealth and State Governments, NGOs and voluntary contributions to the management of a number of peak bodies, organisations, committees, Ministerial advisory groups, projects and local initiatives. She established her own business (RTO) in early 90s, delivering training and consultancy in small business and enterprise development both in Australia and internationally.
Gosia was involved in developing appropriate field education experience placements for international students in Australia to ensure competency, legal, regulatory and policy requirements. Through AusAid and World Bank assignments Gosia facilitated business development in newly established market economies like India, Sri Lanka, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and underdeveloped regions of South Africa.
Gosia served 6 years on the Flinders University Council and the Alumni Association Executive Committee. She is a Distinguished Alumni Award Laureate (2008), a recipient of Australia’s Centenary Medal and the Silver Cross of Merit from the President of Poland.
Gosia Hill is a funder and co-director of at Hill Pratz Pty Ltd (est 1989) trading as Options Australia, PC Care Options and AuEu Connect and serves on the Australian Civilian Corps providing specialist expertise in developing countries following natural disasters or conflict.

Mr Neil McNish
Neil has been the City of Marion's Economic Development Manager since 2005 where he is responsible for driving the Council's economic development agenda and in this role he also works closely with the City of Onkaparinga and the Southern Adelaide Economic Development Board in seeking to grow and diversify the Southern Adelaide regional economy. Prior to joining the City of Marion, Neil worked for the South Australian Government's economic development agency in various investment attraction roles including managing the food industry investment team for three years.
Neil's involvement in economic development began in his native Scotland after gaining a law degree from the University of Edinburgh and then qualifying as a solicitor specialising in company law, he joined the Scottish Development Agency, latterly Scottish Enterprise. With this organisation, he worked initially in the provision of venture capital to small and start-up enterprises and was also a director of a local venture capital fund for a number of years. He then gained experience as a business advisor working with high growth-potential companies and then joined the agency's export arm, Scottish Trade International as Manager of its European operations. This involved providing a range of export services to Scottish companies seeking to export to Western, Central and Eastern Europe and during this period he established local offices in Moscow and Dusseldorf and associate offices in Warsaw, Prague and Budapest.
Neil emigrated to Australia with his Australian wife in December 1996 and moved to Adelaide in April 1997.
Ms Evelyn O'Loughlin
Currently CEO of Volunteering SA & NT, Evelyn has 19 years’ experience in senior and executive management roles both in South Australia and in Europe, and has wide experience in working with and training staff, volunteers and Boards. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Evelyn has had extensive practical experience in the not-for-profit sector, initially as General Manager of the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia Inc. Pursuing her personal passion for representing “Communities of Interest”, she is at present Board Director of the Migrant Resource Centre SA and a member of the Council on the Ageing SA (COTA Seniors Voice) Policy Council.
For over 5 years from 2005 – 2010, Evelyn was on the Board of Multicultural Aged Care, and was their Chairperson for 3 of those years, completing her eligible term in 2010. She also was a Board Member of the Carers SA Board until October 2011. In 2009 – 2010 Evelyn was a member of the Special Olympics 2010 National Games Organising Committee, for the IX National Games which were held in Adelaide in April 2010.
In December 2010, Evelyn was appointed for a 3 year term, as the only South Australian representative to the Federal Government’s 12 member Not-for-Profit Sector Reform Council. The Council role is to support the implementation of smarter regulation, improved transparency and accountability, reduced red tape and to provide advice on the Productivity Commissions 2010 Report.
Dr Roger Sexton

Roger is a graduate in Economics and Commerce with Doctorate and Masters Degrees from North Carolina University in the USA and an Honours Degree (First Class) in Economics from the Flinders University of South Australia. He was awarded the Bank of Adelaide Prize in Economics in 1970 and the AAES Outstanding Doctoral Program Award in 1976.
After graduating in 1976, Roger spent ten years in various senior management positions with the Commonwealth and State Governments. He has spent the last 20 years in various senior executive roles in the investment banking industry, including as Executive Director, Morgan Grenfell Australia Ltd and Chief Executive, Challenger Beston Ltd. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Roger is currently the Executive Chairman of Beston Pacific Asset Management.
Mr Nigel Trewartha
Nigel has worked primarily in investment banking and funds management since 1996. He was employed at Macquarie Group from 2000 to 2006 and at the time of his departure he held the title of Chief Investment Officer of Macquarie Fund Adviser LLC with responsibilities for various listed global infrastructure funds. From December 2006 to October 2007 he was the Chief Financial Officer of ASX listed Envestra Limited. Nigel is currently Executive Director and co-founder of Long Tail Asset Management. Long Tail is a Sydney based fund manager which manages a concentrated portfolio of domestic and global investments.
Nigel is a graduate of Flinders University with Master of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics (Honours) degrees.
