The DVC-R offers three fellowships:

  • Visiting International Research Fellowship (doc) to provide funds to Schools to attract a visiting international researcher to the university.
  • Re-entry Fellowship (doc) to provide funds to Schools to relieve some of the pressure on academic staff returning to the University following a period of parental leave by paying for research assistance (or other research support, including funds for teaching relief), to allow staff members to focus on re-establishment of their research programs.
  • Conference Travel Fellowship Support of up to $1,000 for a national conference and $2,500 for an international conference may be awarded to enable staff members with significant carer responsibilities to attend a conference in their research area that they would otherwise be unable to attend. The Fellowship is to provide additional funds for child care arrangements to allow a staff member to travel to a conference. Care responsibilities may apply to the applicant’s children, partner or any relative for whom they are the primary care-giver.
