  • Web 2.0
    Heard of wikis, blogs, Facebook, YouTube, podcasts? These are all examples of Web 2.0 type technologies. Flinders is currently investigating how we might use some of these technologies to support teaching and learning.

  • FLO Live
    FLO Live is synchronous, web-based communication software that allows lecturers and students, or staff to collaborate with one another by using voice-over-internet (VoIP) audio, share software applications, presentation slides, free-form white boards, and to use a text chat area.

Educational ICTs

ICT refers to the use of any of the Information and Communication Technologies. Using ICT in education, or using educational ICTs promotes:

  • efficiency
  • quality
  • flexibility (including access)
  • preparation/necessary skill in the professions and community
