International students

The International Students Services Unit assists international students during their time in Adelaide and at Flinders.

Research higher degree students

Flinders offers a number of masters degrees and doctoral degrees which are undertaken entirely or primarily by research. There are a number of structures available to support you in your candidature. For further information refer to Research Higher Degrees.

Students identifying as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, intersex, questioning, queer (GLBTTIQQ)

The ALLY Network is an initiative of the Equal Opportunity Unit at Flinders University. It is designed to enhance university culture by creating a more welcoming and inclusive environment for members of the Flinders community who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, intersex, questioning and queer (GLBTTIQQ).

Students with disabilities

Disability refers to any impairment, disability or medical condition that inhibits a student's access to education.

The Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) coordinates specific services that allow students with disabilities to access university study. The DLO can also provide advocacy on behalf of individual students or on disability issues that affect a number of students.

First year students

First year students have specific needs in terms of transitioning to the university environment. For example, they need to become familiar with the academic expectations placed on students and learn how to modify previous study techniques and approaches to suit the new academic demands.

Study support

The Student Learning Centre offers a number of teaching programs aimed at developing the academic skills of all students. It also tailors programs to the needs of particular student cohorts.

The Library provides a list of searchable frequently asked questions (FAQs) as well as a series of How To guides that introduce you to a wide range of Library resources.
