FUMA Collections

Join us for an exclusive alumni tour of our current exhibition, Robyn Stacey: as still as life | A Monash Gallery of Art (MGA) travelling exhibition. This exhibition, curated by MGA Director Anouska Phizacklea, leads audiences into the tantalising world of the still life tradition.

Stacey is one of Australia’s leading photographic artists whose fascination with the still life genre inspired the selection of works for this exhibition. Through the contemporary medium of photography Stacey brings historical collections to life on a monumental scale, interrogating what these collections may have meant for their original owners and interweaving personal historical narratives.

Each tour will be followed by Morning Tea at FUMA.

Bookings are essential as FUMA is continuing to follow Government advice regarding physical distancing and hygiene measures. Please note that a maximum of 25 visitors can be accommodated for the alumni tours on each occasion to ensure a 1.5m minimum distance between people.

FUMA Collections

Flinders University Museum of Art houses an extraordinary art collection, open to our students, researchers and staff – and to you – to develop knowledge, stimulate creativity and light the way for how we understand and interact with the world around us.

Established in 1966, the collection now represents Australian and international artists and is renowned for its nationally significant holding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art spanning the 20th century. These works are particularly vital to embedding diverse cultural perspectives across University curricula and engaging students with Indigenous knowledge.
