This partnership will allow Biomedical students at AMRAK Institute of Medical Science to receive credit towards a Flinders degree through one of our recognised pathways.
This partnership allows students from AMRAK Institute of Medical Science (AMRAK) to enrol in the Bachelor of Medical Science & Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) at Flinders.
Upon successful completion of the Diploma topics below, you will gain 1-year credit towards the Bachelor of Medical Science or Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine).

Exclusive to this partnership, all students who complete a Medical Science course will gain industry experience through a placement, internship or live industry project.
Gain medical laboratory skills and competencies through laboratory learning made possible by being located within the Flinders Medical Centre on campus and the co-operative industry partnerships between diagnostic pathology laboratories and Flinders University
As a medical scientist specialising in laboratory medicine, you will handle patient samples and undertake laboratory testing to support and guide clinical decisions.
Students undertake two 13-week placements, equating to approximately 900 hours of laboratory placement in the fourth year of the degree.
This specialised degree provides opportunities for students interested in a wide range of careers in the medical and health sciences, and underpins virtually all fields of medical science.
In the third year a professional placement will be available involving laboratory-based project.
This programme has been accredited by the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists (AIMS).
To be eligible for Professional membership, members need to complete an AIMS-accredited medical laboratory science degree.
