Donor thank you afternoon tea
On Friday 31 March 2023 President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Colin Stirling hosted an event to highlight the impact of giving to education and research at Flinders University.
The afternoon tea at Alere Function Centre was a unique opportunity for donors to meet with students and researchers who have benefitted from their philanthropic support.
Guests heard from Vanshika Sinh, who is now living and working as a medical intern in Alice Springs – thanks to the scholarship support she received as a student. They also learnt about the impact of supporting emerging researchers through Impact Seed Funding for Early Career Researchers, and the long-term impact it can have on the wider community.
Reverend Eric Kirkham and Joan Kirkham shared their heartfelt story of what led them to include a bequest in their Will to support a new scholarship at Flinders University. Read their story in the latest Impact of Giving report
