The Psychology Clinic provides a professional clinical space for Flinders' postgraduate (Masters and Clinical PhD) provisional psychologists to carry out assessments and therapy under the supervision of a registered clinical psychologist. It also serves as a research facility.
The Flinders University Psychology Clinic accepts self-referrals for:
We work with children and adolescents with a range of issues including school avoidance, selective mutism, generalised anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, adjustment to challenging events (eg, parental separation), perfectionism and managing stress (such as Year 12). We also work with children (and their families) where behavioural difficulties in the home or school environments are a concern.
For adults, referrals for a range of anxiety disorders including generalised anxiety disorder, social phobia and specific phobias are welcome.
Psychology clinic services are provided by our postgraduate clinical psychology trainees and supervised by senior psychologists Dr Levina Clark and Dr Fiona Leeson. Dr Ryan Balzan is the Clinic Director.
$35.00 for the intial consultation (90 minutes)
$25.00 for subsequent sessions (60 minutes)
$400.00 per assessment.
This cost includes an initial interview, assessment sessions, liaison with kindergarten/school as appropriate, a feedback session and a report.
All fees are payable via debit/credit card. Cash payment is not available.
Note: you are able to self-refer to the clinic.
