Rural Day 2015

On Monday, May 4th, 2015, our first year MD students were treated to a wonderful day at Port Elliot Surf Life Saving Club, on the beautiful shores of Horseshoe Bay. With the sun shining, students were given a tiny taste of the amazing opportunities available to them through the Flinders University Rural Clinical School (FURCS). Students rotated through workshops including cannulation and suturing, and heard talks from Flinders staff, local Aboriginal community members, and the Lions of Goolwa, who gave an insight into the value of community connections in rural and regional health care.

A great day was had by all, and we look forward to great things from this enthusiastic and talented cohort! Below are a few snaps from the day.
