Australian Medical Workforce Advisory Committee (AMWAC) Survey of Career Decision Making by Doctors in Training

Staff involved: Catherine Hurley

SACHRU was contracted by AMWAC to undertake analysis and reporting of the data collected at thrity-seven consultation meetings around Australia with General Practitioners, General Practice registrars, consumers and other interested parties including Divisions of General Practice staff. The purpose of these consultation meetings was to discuss the future of general practice in Australia and to obtain a range of perspectives on the changes that have and are occurring in patients, GPs and any local concerns that group members had. The consultations took place in every state of Australia and covered a wide range of areas from urban to rural to remote. The report on this data will be included as part of the larger AMWAC report, with credit to SACHRU.
