Alumni & Staff Tuition Fee Discount

Flinders University is delighted to provide special discounts for staff and alumni for study in 2025.

Are you a member of the Flinders community? Special discounts for alumni and staff are available for the redesigned Master of Business Administration (MBA), as well as the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma of Business Administration.

Alumni

The University is offering a 20% course discount to all eligible alumni living in Australia to align with the current 20% full duration scholarship offered to Flinders University international alumni for the new MBA courses.

Requirements are that alumni have successfully completed an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification from Flinders University.

Staff

Flinders University staff can apply for a 30% course discount for the new MBA courses. Staff may also apply for support from the Professional Staff Development Fund, subject to the normal eligibility criteria.

Requirements are that staff must meet the entry requirements for the course. All professional and academic staff employed by the university regardless of mode of employment are eligible, noting that the discount may be subject to FBT if there is not sufficient connection between the employee’s current role and the MBA program.

Discount eligibility

Available for commencement in 2025.
Available to alumni and staff of Flinders University only.
Be current staff, regardless of mode of employment, to be eligible for the staff discount; and;
Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder at the time of application.
Available to applications of an eligible course as outlined in the Terms and Conditions.

Discount exclusions

Discounts are not available to current Flinders students transferring between Flinders courses.

Frequently asked questions

I commenced an eligible course prior to 2025, am I eligible for the discount?

No, the discount applies to eligible applicants who meet the minimum requirements and hold an offer to commence the course in 2025.

I commenced an eligible course in 2025 and after completing one topic I needed to take more than one semester of leave from study. Will the discount apply when I resume my studies?

Yes, provided Leave of Absence is recorded on your student record, the discount will continue once you resume your study a year later and until you complete the course.

I commenced an eligible course in 2025 and after completing one topic I did not apply for Leave of Absence and my status is now absent without leave or AWOL. Can I commence the course a year or more later with the discount?

Provided the discount is still being offered in the year you wish to resume your studies, the discount will continue until you complete the course.

If the discount is no longer being offered in the year you wish to resume your studies, the discount will not apply for the remainder of your studies.

I was eligible for the discount for the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration and now that I have completed it, I wish to apply for the Graduate Diploma or MBA, am I eligible for the discount in the subsequent course?

Provided the discount is still being offered in the year you wish to commence the new course, the discount will apply.

If the discount is no longer being offered in the year you wish to commence the new course, the discount will not apply.
