Fearless Conversations - Bringing together industry leaders and our researchers, the series fearlessly discusses the challenges that face our world and the opportunities available to South Australia.
Investigator Lecture - The Investigator Lecture is an important part of Flinders University’s public education program and our contribution towards the cultural life of South Australia. It is also the showcase piece to our 2022 Fearless Conversations series, our thought-provoking and inspiring live panel discussions.

With a collection of more than 8000 works, Flinders University boasts one of the largest University art collections in Australia.

The community can experience Flinders University Museum of Art through a range of activities, exhibitions and public programs.

Public art

A dynamic collection of public art features throughout the University's campuses contributing to the richness of university life and culture - and you're invited to take a look. Works vary enormously and include, among others:

Sam Songailo's T.R.I.M, a large-scale digital display linked to data generated by the Tonsley campus building - such as heating/cooling, power usage and security information.
Yara by Judy Watson is composed of nine steel-fabricated feathers comprising yarahonour the Kaurna Ancestor Spirit Tjilbruke – the glossy ibis – and pays tribute to the traditional owners of the land on which Flinders University was founded.
Chandelier by Deb Jones, Catherine Truman and Ian Gibbins was conceived in response to the 2012 decommissioning of a suite of microscopes and ancillary tools and equipment from the School of Medicine. The reconfigured pieces produced Chandelier, which offers a glimpse of the work that emerged from the collaboration.

Flinders University concerts

Our exciting lunchtime concert series brings some excellent musicians of international standing to the University throughout the year.

The performances cover many styles and genres, including jazz, folk, pop, classical and contemporary, and provide an intimate setting in which to engage with the music.

The concerts are open to everyone.
