Solve complex problems and explore new ways of doing things by partnering with a Flinders Honours student - and their expert academic supervisor(s).

Honours students are emerging thought-leaders. Enthusiastic to learn and skilled at critical and evidence-based analysis, they manage an in-depth research project and carefully examine a specific topic or problem to develop new insights that could have real-world impact, and possibly for your organisation.

What can I expect?

There are typically not placements involved in an Industry-Targeted Honours, however, please contact us to discuss your ideas and any opportunities.

The student will:

Research a question or problem posed by and/or created in collaboration with an industry-partner – over 9 months.
Be supervised by industry-experienced researchers from Flinders.
Is briefed by - and will present progress and findings to - industry partner.
Produce a detailed report of key findings delivered to industry partner.

What's involved for you?

Provide a question
Provide us with a research question or problem that you would like further investigated by an Honours student.

Attend three sessions with the student
Brief the student on the research task, attend a mid-point and a final presentation and discussion with the student - either on-campus, online or at your workplace.

Receive a final report
Receive a detailed, well-researched report on your question or problem within 9 months from briefing.
