Supporting students like Jasmine to access higher education
Jasmine grew up with her mum in a low socio-economic area of country South Australia. She had a love of science and mathematics, and enjoyed being creative.
After speaking with female engineers, Jasmine realised she could combine all of her passions and was inspired to become an engineer, so applied for a Bachelor of Engineering (Robotics) at Flinders University.
Although excited to be accepted into her dream degree, Jasmine faced several big challenges, including having to pack up and move away from the country.
These challenges caused increased financial pressures and she applied for a Student Impact Scholarship.
“Receiving a scholarship has had a massive impact on my life and my studies. The funds mean that I am able to buy the materials and resources that will best support my academic success,” says Jasmine.
“I am very grateful for this scholarship. I cannot emphasise how much the added financial security has positively influenced my overall wellbeing and my determination to succeed.”
