Coming from a background in Zoology, everything about Biotechnology excites me!
The majority of lab work for us is novel experiments that have the potential to make a major breakthrough so it is super exciting to be a part of that.
Since this degree is cross-disciplined, I'm learning about business, technology, programming, biology, microbiology, genetics, nanotechnology, environmental biotechnology, and even drug developments and legal aspects of bio-science, I feel like I am ready to face any sector head-on!
Flinders has become synonymous with home after coming to Australia.
I have spent most of my time at uni because the study space and communal spaces here are awesome. There are so many supports available to students.
I have personally found that the teachers understand how stressful uni life can get for international students and try to provide as much support as possible.
I love that Flinders has so many events happening all the time and there are a lot of cultural exchanges among students. I also love the fact that Flinders hires students for casual jobs and you get to work while you study on campus!
Because of Flinders, I feel like I made the right decision to come to Adelaide. Adelaide itself is a peaceful place to live in and I love going to the beaches. There are so many pretty beaches here!
The best thing about being a Flinders Student Ambassador is that I can connect with a large number of international students from all over the world and build connections.
Also, representing Flinders makes me so proud. We as Students Ambassadors get to work closely with university staff and gain corporate experience and exposure while studying, which would help drive careers forward after graduation.
All in all, being a student ambassador at Flinders is awesome!
Interested in studying a Master of Biotechnology like Su?
I mostly do all my assignments and studying on campus.
The Law Library on level 3 is one of the silent areas and by far my favorite.
I love the desks by the windows facing Registry Road on both level 2 and 3 where you can study with a beautiful view of Adelaide.
When I am not studying, I go to the beach with my friends, go shopping, or to the city for drinks.
There are so many events happening all the time in Adelaide, so any free time I have is spent going to those.
Although it is small, there are so many places to explore in Adelaide. I still haven't been to all the beautiful places yet, so I will be doing that this year in my spare time.
