Deb began her role at Flinders University in 2017. She is a praciticing registered paedatric nurse with experience in undergraduate teaching, having worked as a clinical Nurse in the Simulated Hospital and Health Service,University of South Australia, responsible for providing expert contemporary clinical leadership in various courses in the undergraduate nursing program .She is enthusiastic about student engagement and strives to formulate and deliver topics using innovative and creative teaching practices, such as Mask Ed and HoloLens. Deb is also co-project leader for NCAP, Nuring Communication and Application to practice Programme, a coaching programme founded in 2018 to assist students improve their clinical and communication skills enabling students to become more confident and competent, improving placement performance.
