Dr Ashley Montero is a Research Associate at FHMRI Sleep Health. His research interests are centered around sleep, wellbeing, and human performance. His current research focuses on investigating the prevalence and severity of sleep and mental health issues in current and retired athletes. Currently, Dr Montero leads projects focusing on using new technologies to detect driving impairment related to sleepiness and understanding the mechanisms of night-to-night variability in obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). Dr Montero is a member of the Editorial Board for Psychology of Sport and Exercise and is a published author of several peer-reviewed journal articles in impactful journals in sleep, psychology, and sport.
