Bill Damachis

Bill has held leadership positions in international engagement across a number of leading Australian Universities in Western Australia, New South Wales, and Victoria. He has recently returned to his home state of South Australia where he is the Director, of International Partnerships at Flinders University. Bill has been responsible for establishing and managing high-impact commercially significant partnerships and alliances encompassing academia, industry and government nationally and internationally. This includes both research and education collaborations, with a significant focus on transnational, twinning, articulation and mobility partnerships in numerous countries (China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE and Vietnam). He has a specific interest in science, technology and innovation systems of major Asian economies and their associated political and business environments.
