Dr. Daniel Padovan is a Lecturer in Business (Sports Management).

As a part of his role, Daniel teaches within the Bachelor of Business (Sports Management). He Topic Coordinates BUSN2051 (Sports Marketing), BUSN3068 (Sports Law) and BUSN3069 (Sports Leadership and Governance), BUSN1026, (Sports Management and Leadership), BUSN1027, (Exploring and Reporting Sport Business Data) BUSN1028 (Introduction to Sports Marketing) and BUSN1105 (Introduction to Sports Law).

Daniel also teaches within the Flinders University Diploma of Sports Management in partnership with Port Adelaide Football Club (AFL), the Diploma of Sports Business in partnership with Adelaide United FC (Soccer) and the Diploma of Sports Administration in partnership with the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA).

Before his career in academia, Daniel has worked in the emergency services and has been part of the sports industry in various roles. Daniel's PhD research focused on how adventure sports therapies can be used as additional treatments to aid mental health.

Since 2015 Daniel has taught undergraduate and postgraduate topics in Sports Management, Law, Strategic Management, International Business, as well as Marketing and Communications part-time at various institutions including Flinders while completing his PhD. Daniel then became a full-time lecturer at Flinders University in 2022.

Daniel utilises a coaching approach to teaching and is very passionate about engaging and motivating students to succeed and achieve their goals. He also makes sure students can have some laughs and enjoy learning about the sports industry which they are passionate about.

Daniel also strongly encourages students to build skills by seeking practical experience via industry placements that will make them stand out from other candidates when they graduate. In everything he does when teaching, Daniel aims to make sure that his students are truly future ready.
