Debra is strongly service orientated, recognising the incredible privilege that is attached to accessing the highest levels of education. She has sustained local and international community and corporate partnerships and frequently acts as an advocate for young people and their families when access to schooling or other resources are challenged as a result of sexuality, (dis)ability and/or behaviour. Debra is currently on the Board of the LifeChanger Foundation and Kingswood College. She has concluded terms of service on the RMIT University Board and Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation Board, where she retains Life Membership. Debra represents the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Victoria) as an Australia Day Ambassador within communities and has been on the TEQSA Panel of Experts since 2010.
Debra is highly motivated to make a difference in the world and in the lives of others. She is keen and open to exploring opportunities that grow stronger and more diverse networks, and leveraging from the capitals that individuals and groups bring from their lives. Debra is also keen to continue to contribute to shaping more robust and relevant and community oriented educational futures for our young people.
