Jessica is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the College of Business, Government and Law. Jessica is an expert in internationl conflict and provides regular analysis for national and international media outlets on global conflicts. Jessica's research interests include conflict, threat perceptions, and post-conflict institution-building with a focus on the Middle East as well as Russia / Ukraine.

Jessica also focuses on executive training with an emphasis on cultural capability and intercultural leadership. Jessica engages in innovative curriculum design at the tertiary level, with a particular interest in participatory educational methods to develop graduates' professional and interpersonal competencies including cultural capability, leadership, conflict management and negotiation skills.

PODCAST

Jessica hosted a podcast "War in Ukraine: Update from Kyiv" throughout 2022 and 2023 with analysis of the Ukraine conflict, as well as deep dives into issues of warfighting, strategy and leadership.

Doctorate from the School of Politics and International Relations, Australian National University - graduated 2018

Masters degree in Political Science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem - graduated 2011

Bachelor of Asian Studies from the Australian National University - graduated 2006 (majoring in development studies; Vietnamese language; Arabic language)
