An experienced educational leader across schooling and early years sectors. Leadership roles in metropolitan schools (R-7, P-7), Thailand (Leader, Birth-8) and a remote area school (P-12) as well as regional leadership (literacy and District Director line managing and leading site leaders) and statewide responsibilities (Director Primary - significant input into TfEL and responsible for South Australia's relationship with ACARA through the consultation on the Australian Curriculum and leadership of the implementation in primary schools).

Qualifications

Qualifications held: Diploma of Teaching (1977, Sturt CAE), Graduate Diploma of Reading Education (1980, UniSA), B.Ed Leadership (1988, Flinders), M.Ed (2002, Flinders) and a Graduate Diploma in Building Professional Learning Communities (2008, UniSA) and a Ph.D at James Cook University: 'Aspirations for equity and excellence'.

Honours, awards and grants

2002 National Merit Award for educational leadership at Reynella East CPC-7 School.
