Winner of the Italian Institute of Culture Melbourne 2018 Prize for Italian Literary Translation - Premio alla Traduzione Letteraria. "The judges were very impressed by the high standard of entries in this year's IIC Premio alla Traduzione. The text for translation [Wu Ming's short story "Momodou" from "Crimini italiani/The Italian Crime Anthology", edited by Giancarlo De Cataldo, Einaudi Stile Libero, 2008] posed a number of challenges, including a mix of registers and of colloquial varieties of Italian. The winning entry tackled the challenges admirably, bringing Wu Ming's important and moving story to a new audience". The translation has been published.
