Dr Keyhanfar received her PhD from The University of Adelaide in Biochemistry/Biotechnology in 2005 and held academic positions at Bu-Ali Sina University and University of Isfahan, where she was an Associate Professor with the Department of Biotechnology. She is a Senior Lecturer at the College of Medicine and Public Health (CMPH), Flinders University since 2019. Her expertise lies in biochemistry, protein chemistry, protein structure/function, pharmaceutical biotechnology, drug delivery, and plant secondary metabolite production.

My teaching interests are in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Cell Biology and Protein Chemistry. I am particularly interested in inspiring students in the field of molecular basis and biochemistry of human disease and targeting the underlying cause of disease at the molecular level for diagnosis and personalised targeted therapy of the diseases.
