The Master of Philosophy (Education) study focused on how a non-Indigenous middle years’ STEM teacher can integrate Indigenous Knowledge related to the traditional local practice of harvesting Akatyerr (desert raisin) in measurement learning while on Country. It explored authentic pedagogic practices, such as traditional bush food harvest protocols, to enable students to construct new measurement knowledge based on their Akatyerr (desert raisin) knowledge interests.
