I undertook my PhD at City University London and Kings College London with the Blood Brain Barrier Group investigating drug transporters in the retinal pigment epithelium (Pgp). I performed invitro and in vivo experiments using RPE-retina whole mounts of bovine, chick and rana and cell culture (primary and cell lines (D407, ARPE-19, MDCK and MIO-M1) in co-culture with retinal extracts. Currently I am exploring retina m,l biomarkers for neurodevelopmental disorders using time-frequency and machine learning algorithms to classify disorders.
