Dr Philip Norcott is a lecturer in Chemistry in the College of Science and Engineering at Flinders University. He obtained his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Sydney (2016), and postdoctoral roles at the University of York, UK (2016-2018) and the Australian National University (2018-2021). He began his independent research career at ANU upon award of an ARC DECRA in 2021, and moved to Flinders University in 2025. His research centres around using chemistry to solve global problems in the field of sustainable synthesis with a particular focus on electrochemistry, and to enhance the versatility and applications of magnetic resonance techniques by developing chemical methods to create hyperpolarisation.
