Prof. Del P. Wong is an Adjunct Full Professor (Academic Level E) at the College of Education, Psychology, and Social Work at Flinders University. With over 100 research papers published in international SCI journals, he is a distinguished figure in soccer (football) research. In 2017, he was awarded a Fellowship by the European College of Sport Science in recognition of his significant contributions to the advancement of sport science through research  Prof. Wong works with top tier professional football clubs globally.

From 2016 to 2019, he served as a Full Professor and Research Leader at the Sport Science Research Center, a University-Level Center at Shandong Sport University in China. Between 2012 and 2016, he was the founding head of the Department of Sports and Recreation at the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi). During this time, he also established the Sports & Recreation Research Centre, which includes facilities such as the Sports Therapy Centre, Human Performance Laboratory, Sports Biomechanics Laboratory, and Health and Recreation Management Laboratory.

Before transitioning to academia, Prof. Wong has extensive experience as a performance coach for elite athletes, including Olympic, World Championship, and Asian Games medalists. His expertise spans multiple sports, including badminton, table tennis, fencing, cycling (sprint and BMX), and swimming.
