Dr. Rebecca Francis is a topic coordinator within the Speech Pathology programs at Flinders University. She is a lecturer in the areas of motor speech disorders and anatomy and physiology of communication and swallowing. 

In 2025, Rebecca completed her PhD which focussed on the interaction between cognitive and behavioural changes and dysphagia in motor neurone disease (MND). She continues to research in the area of cognitive and behavioural changes and dysphagia in MND, with a key focus of improving care for families living with MND.
