Teaching interests

My teaching interests lie at the intersection of equitable assessment, authentic learning, and professional growth. I am deeply invested in designing valid, reliable, and inclusive assessment practices that provide all learners with opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in meaningful ways. I am particularly interested in exploring equitable approaches to assessment that consider diverse learning needs and contexts, ensuring that students are assessed fairly and transparently.

I am also passionate about adapting and integrating practices from various education systems and policies to create learning environments that are authentic, culturally responsive, and relevant. By drawing insights from global education systems, I seek to enhance my teaching practice and adapt effective strategies to suit the needs of my learners, fostering deeper engagement and understanding.

Another key area of interest is enhancing teaching practices through professional learning. I am committed to using research-based methodologies to improve pedagogy, with a particular focus on action research, learning study, lesson study, and learning circles. These approaches allow me to engage in cycles of inquiry and reflection to refine instructional strategies and assessment methods, ultimately improving student outcomes and supporting continuous professional growth.

In all these areas, my focus remains on creating inclusive, engaging, and reflective learning environments that empower both students and educators to thrive.
