College of Medicine and Public Health
Hello my name is Sandra Crockett I’m a Registered Nurse living in Barmera. I am married to Scott and he also works in the health profession as a Paramedic based in Berri and we have a son who is also currently studying Occupational Therapy at Uni SA. I have worked in the Hospital settings for 25 years in rural and remote locations around SA. You will get to know me as one of your Inter-profession Educators here at FRHSA and also see me at the Riverland General Hospital working in Emergency and on the acute ward.
I value helping in the development of new health professionals in the workforce by being actively involved in creating an environment that attracts staff and enables them to build and establish careers in CHSA by providing continuous learning opportunities and fostering a culture that ensures authentic learning is occurring. My aim is to role model professional attitudes towards the health profession and I see my role involving the use my experiences to put the necessary resources into your hands. I am committed in helping to strengthen partnerships with institutions and health services in creating a culture that supports student-centred clinical education and assisting staff with their responsibilities.
