Susan worked as a physiotherapist in rural Victoria, Canada and Hong Kong 1986-1994.
Susan is fluent in spoken and written French and whilst living in France 1998-2004, she taught English in primary schools.
Susan has 10+ years’ experience in research support particularly working on positive ageing / healthy ageing projects.
Susan began working for CareSearch in August 2016 and oversaw the palliAGED Project from August 2016 to January 2018, followed by a short stint of project support prior to the launch of the ELDAC.
April 2018 - September 2020 as the Research Associate (Clinical) for CareSearch, Susan lead the allied health arm of the CareSearch and palliAGED Engagement Project, co-wrote the palliAGED Practice Tip Sheets for Nurses and Careworkers and updated the palliAGED topics.
Recently Susan has been appointed as Scholarly Fellow (Palliative Care) to manage the project of developing a online short courses in palliative care for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Susan is co-founder and Vice-President of Adélaïde Accueil, a not-for-profit association which welcomes French-speakers to Adelaide and South Australia, suppports French-speaking newcomers and enlivens the French-speaking community of Adelaide.
