To walk shoulder to shoulder with diverse students both local and international, enhancing their academic literacy and professional communication skills is a privilege for Tahereh. She cherishes the importance of unity of vision and the need for appreciation of diverse expertise in collaborative efforts.

As a learning advisor who coordinates and facilitates the Introductory Academic Program (IAP) and a facilitator of the Flinders Foundation Studies Program (FSP) in the Student Learning Support Services, Tahereh loves working with students to help them build capacity and become active agents of their learning. Her background is in wisdom education, and as a strong believer in and promoter of peace and harmony within the global community, she strives to create a meaningful and uplifting learning environment. Tahereh engages in reflective analysis through a process of action, reflection and consultation to improve educational strategies and outcomes. She has a deep understanding of how interdisciplinary collaboration can enhance student learning and success.

Dr. Tahereh Pourshafie engages in research about wisdom in educational settings to foster individual’s prosocial behaviour and awaken their innate capacity for wisdom in thinking and action. Individuals who are committed to a twofold inseparable purpose: one of personal, social, emotional and spiritual development and contribution to the betterment of the world.
