After growing up in the Samford Valley on the outskirts of Brisbane - I moved to Cairns for two years as a junior doctor, back to Brisbane for a decade and since 1997 I have lived and worked in Alice Springs, NT.  Twenty years experience from the early 2000s as a medical doctor -General Practitioner  (GP) working in the Aboriginal Medical Service based in Alice Springs which included two years working in Utju (Areyonga) 220kms west of Alice Springs. 

I've also spent time living in Yasothon, Thailand, and Smithers, B.C. Canada with my husband and five (now adult) children.
