Yianni Cartledge is a lecturer in Greek Studies (Culture) and recent PhD graduate in the discipline of history. His PhD research topic was ‘Aegean Islander Migration to the United Kingdom and Australia, 1815-1945: Emigration, Settlement, Community Building and Integration’, submitted in Dec 2023 and conferred in 2024.
Yianni’s research interests include migration and the migrant experience, diaspora studies, Mediterranean histories (particularly the British and Ottoman Empires), and the history of modern Greece. He is also the current Assistant Editor of The Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth History.
