Yilma is an adjunct senior lecturer, researcher and a registered psychologist, with more than 24 years of experience both in community correctional and prison settings. His research interests focus on forensic psychology risk assessment, challenges facing ethnic minorities within the criminal justice system, and strengths-based rehabilitation practices, including positive psychology interventions with individuals who have committed offences.
