Mediserve Indigenous Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship has been funded by the Mediserve Nursing Agency and has been established to support and provide financial assistance to a full-time Indigenous student studying the Bachelor of Nursing (Preregistration) at Flinders university. 

Each scholarship will have a value of $1,500 for one year paid in equal instalments after the census date of each semester. One scholarship will be available per annum. 

Scholarship applicants must:

• be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
• identify as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and
• be accepted as an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander by the community in which they live or have lived; and
• be enrolling in the second or third year of the Bachelor of Nursing (Preregistration); and
• be able to demonstrate financial need; and 
• be making satisfactory academic progress; and
• normally be enrolled full-time at Flinders University.

Applications will be accepted from part-time students who have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from studying full-time (e.g., disabilities, carer responsibilities). Part-time recipients will be paid pro-rata.
