The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to Indigenous students undertaking an undergraduate course in Health Sciences at Flinders University.
A generous donation from the Trustees of the Estate of the late Peter Bailie, a former Director of Administration and Registrar of the University, established the Peter Bailie Scholarship in Clinical Nursing. After many years of supporting students undertaking postgraduate courses in Clinical Nursing and after consultation with the Trustees, the scholarships’ focus has now shifted to reflect the life and work of Peter by encouraging the successful retention and graduation of Indigenous students in the Health Sciences.
