The Professor Lowitja O'Donoghue Indigenous Student Postgraduate Research Scholarship provides an annual stipend, leave and allowances. The scholarship provides a Research Training Program Place (RTP).
The Professor Lowitja O'Donoghue Indigenous Student Postgraduate Research Scholarship is tenable at Flinders University for up to three years for a Doctorate by research, or up to two years for a Masters by research degree, subject to satisfactory progress.
Holders undertaking a Doctorate by research may apply for one six-month extension of the tenure of their award.
The tenure of the scholarship will be determined in accordance with the Flinders University Research Scholarship conditions of award.
Subject to availability, award holders may also be offered casual, part-time employment with Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement not exceeding eight hours per week.

Selection of award holders will be undertaken by the Scholarships Committee on the basis of academic merit and research potential. Applications will be ranked according to the University’s Guidelines for Ranking Postgraduate Research Scholarship Applications.
The Professor Lowitja O'Donoghue Indigenous Student Postgraduate Research Scholarship will normally be offered to the highest-ranked eligible postgraduate research scholarship applicant.
Applications for the Professor Lowitja O'Donoghue Indigenous Student Postgraduate Research Scholarship will be called for in conjunction with the Higher Degree by Research Scholarship main round. You are not required to submit a separate application for the Professor Lowitja O’Donoghue Indigenous Student Scholarship, an application submitted in the HDR Scholarship main round will ensure consideration in this indigenous one.

The Scholarship is called Higher Degree Research Scholarship Main Round - Grouping Reward in both portals.
One application will apply for both the AGRTPS, the FURS and any other scholarship opportunities that may be available during the round.
