Stella and Peter Braund have established an endowed fund to support continuing undergraduate students enrolled at Flinders University to support a student under financial hardship with preference given to Indigenous / Torres Strait Islander students then to a student identifying as female studying STEM.
The scholarship has been established through a donation from Stella and Peter Braund.
Applicants for the Scholarship must:
• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident of Australia or permanent humanitarian visa holder; and
• be enrolled in an undergraduate course at Flinders University studying in internal (on-campus) mode; and
• have successfully completed at least 36 units of this course at Flinders University; and
• be able to demonstrate financial need; and
• have a minimum GPA of 4.5
The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit. All students meeting the above eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply, however applications may be preferenced as follows:
1. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students
2. Female students studying STEM courses
3. All other eligible applicants.
Selection of the candidate(s) will be made in accordance with procedures approved by the Director, Student Administration.
Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student System by the specified closing date.
